I have been waiting almost a year for another appointment. I was told in November 2018 that he had been off for a few months and was catching up on appointments. I was due to see him in July which got cancelled and moved to August...then this appointment was cancelled altogether. I have been a patient for years and I completely trust Dr Heafield, I like his straight to the point attitude. I would say he's definitely not for everyone and sometimes can come across as rude. Overall though he does know his stuff.

I visited this doctor due to lack of feeling in my feet. To be honest, I am not sure that he actually listened to me. He provided me with some pain killers that can have extremely bad effects on a persons mental stability. I was then given another appointment which was cancelled. I am still waiting and my capability of walking is now getting far worse. There was no reason for the cancellation and I feel that this was due to his total disinterest. I will soon be making a complaint.

Completely lacking people skills. I have a brain tumour which impedes my memory so I wrote a list of my symptoms but he waved his hand in the air and said 'I don't do lists'. Consequently I wasn't able to mention all the details. I went to see him for a follow up appointment and was in there for 3 minutes at the most. I had no further appointments mentioned and I have been left in limbo with progressively worsening symptoms which have left me with no quality of life. My GP has now referred me to Mr. Jacobs and I have an appointment to see him on 25/11/18 and I hope and pray he is better than Mr. Heafield.

The only way that I can describe Dr Heafield is disinterested. He has a straightforward manner which I appreciate. But lacks basic empathy. It seemed that I was an imposition that he "had" to deal with. Obviously, because I wasn't a private patient and there was no real monetary value. This is how I felt. I'm sure that he is an excellent doctor but probably better digging into peoples brains rather than dealing with them when they're conscious. The after experience has been just as bad. Cannot contact his secretaries, meds promised have not been documented to my GP. Contact promises made but not kept to. So all in all, not a great experience. So weeks after seeing him. Nothing has happened. The condition I have is worsening probably due to the stress of having to chase things up myself and not getting any actions. If you want someone to give you platitudes forget it. If you want action after the appointment then forget that also. I'm still here, still suffering from symptoms that could have been alleviated quickly and easily with a simple communication. Still chasing now. Current quality of care ? Zero.

Obnoxious, arrogant man who has no care or ‘bedside manner’ at when he should have some compassion and understanding of patients anxieties. I notice a review has been removed. I took my father to see this person and I will never forget that day as long as I live . He dismissed everything we tried to tell or ask him, made me cry with his uncaring attitude at a time where we were desperate for help. He did no examination, did not go into previous notes and records of my fathers and sent him home making him feel an inconvenience telling him there was no need for further tests. I had to carry my sobbing father back to the car. He died within the next two months. I detest this man and hold him responsible for the lack of professionalism, care and treatment my Dad could have had , resulting in his death. You may delete as you have another family members review but you will not stop our opinion of this man I truly believe should be struck off and suffer for his actions as we have.
